MARCH 14 SUMMARY

Strawberry Clothing Stores Caught Selling Mislabeled Fur
by Annie Hartnett · March 14, 2011
The Humane Society of the United States recently revealed that Strawberry, a New York-based retailer, has been selling real fur vests mislabeled as "faux fur" and unlabeled sweaters trimmed with raccoon dog fur. The discount retailer is alsohawking rabbit fur fashions, which, although properly labeled, are nonetheless cruel.
Since this hairy discovery, the HSUS has called on Strawberry to drop all fur from its stores, in order to show a commitment to animal welfare and to the store's consumers, who deserve to know what they are buying. Unfortunately, Strawberry has made no moves thus far towards adopting a fur-free policy.
Now is not the time for the retailer to be dragged its feet. The Truth in Fur Labeling Act goes into effect later this month. After that time, Strawberry could face hefty fines and possible jail time for leaving fur unlabeled, or for mislabeling real fur as faux fur.
Strawberry is known around New York City for its bargain prices. Many shoppers are misled into believing that a cheap garment means the fur trim can't possibly be real. But listen up spend-thrifts: cheap isn't always synonymous with compassion when it comes to furry fashions.
The HSUS's Patrick Kwan explains: "Low quality animal fur (which can sometimes be scraps) can actually be cheaper than the new high quality fake fur (usually made from tufts of acrylic fibers that are held in place by weaving them into a backing of fabric)."
It's likely that the fur sold at Strawberry came from Chinese fur farms, as that is where much of the cheapest fur sold in the U.S. is sourced. Undercover investigations have revealed the horrific cruelties that animals suffer on Chinese fur farms. Rabbits are routinely anally electrocuted, and raccoon dogs have been skinned alive.
Animals shouldn't have to pay the true price for cheap fur. Sign our petition to ask Strawberry to commit to being fur-free.

The Humane Society of the United States is working on stopping Animal suffering in different parts of the country and they recently reported a case in New York City.
Strawberry, a New York boutique has been selling real animal fur vests making customers believe it’s “faux fur”. The Humane Society of the United States ask them to remove all the fur from their stores but since they haven’t they might face jail time for leaving fur unlabeled.
This boutique is better known for their low prices but cheap isn’t always synonymous with compassion when it comes to furry fashions.
It’s likely that the fur that Strawberry is selling is coming from a Chinese fur farm where they electrocute rabbits and raccoon dogs get their skin ripped off while alive.
This case of Animal cruelty or suffering will be resolved at the end of the month, according to what HSUS said.

  2. The human society in the United States discovered that STRAWBERRY a New York based retailer, has been selling real fur bests. They sell rabbit fur fashion.
The human society of the United States called STRAWBERRY and demanded to stop using the fur of the animal, they wanted every buyer to know what he was using because everyone thought it was not of a real animal, but strawberry did not do anything.
Strawberry made everyone think that these suppose fur was not real but it was and everyone thought it wasn’t because it was cheap.
The human society of the united states knew that it was real and that it was coming from china, the things they are doing to this animals are very cruel they anally electrocute the rabbits and they take out the fur from the raccoon dogs when they are alive.

  3. Strawberry Clothing Stores Caught Selling Mislabeled Fur.

The Humane Society from the United States, revealed that a headquarter in New York, has been selling coats made from real animal skin, mislabeled as “Faux fur”.
Out of this, the HSUS has requested the Strawberry to drop of the selling of those furs, with the purpose of showing a wealthy compromise for animals’ safety and also for the consumers that must know what they are buying. But Strawberry hasn’t made a move in favor of this politic.
After the Truth in Fur Labeling Act goes in effect, Strawberry could face plenty hefty fines and possible jail time for mislabeling fur as Faux fur.
Strawberry has been known in New York because of its prices; Many consumers have been deceived in the shopping of cheap clothes, but cheap isn’t exactly part of animal compassion.
Patrick Kwan from the HSUS explained that the low quality fur can be cheaper than the high quality fake fur.
Maybe Strawberry furs have come from Chinese fur farms, where animals are horribly mistreated, being electrocuted or remove skin alive.
Animals shouldn’t pay or suffer because of this human ignorance.

  8. Humane society has discovered that strawberry has been selling real fur vests as faux fur, to do this they are buying a low quality fur from Chinese fur farms where they use bad ways which make animals suffer too much.

The HSUS has called Strawberry to stop practicing this way of selling where they cheat on consumers and make a very bad impact in animal’s life, unfortunately they has made nothing. With time this can led even in jail time for Strawberry.

Some investigations had led to the hypothesis that the low prices are just because of the bad ways they are using to obtain the fur, one of those are possibly the Chinese fur farms where rabbits are routinely anally electrocuted and raccoon dogs have been skinned alive what means a very bad way which causes a very bad impact for animals that they must not pay.

“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated” -Mahatma Gandhi.

The animals have to suffer only because of the human needs.

Humane society of the United States reveals that strawberry has sell animal fur for clothes. The process these animals had to suffer has been very cruel. From this discovery the HSUS called to strawberry to stop selling this real animal fur. For the animals wealth and for the consumer who have the right to know the truth. But strawberry didn’t act. The effect of the usage of real fur as faux fur in strawberry clothe make them have to face hefty fines and possible jail. As they send their products at very low prices that make the costumers think the clothe they are using is not made by real fur. But cheap isn't always synonymous with compassion when it comes to furry fashions. The low quality animal fur can be cheaper than the high quality fake fur although it comes directly from an animal who has suffered very much. Strawberry take their fur from Chinese fur farms as they are very cheap. But is revealed that the animals have to suffer allot. The rabbits are anally electrocuted and raccoon dogs are skinned alive.

The animals have to pay a high price to be sold in a cheaper one. It isn’t fair that these animals are treated in such a rude way and that we are forced to be part of this massacre that shouldn’t take place.

Animals are sufferenig because of people that don't care about hese creatures suffering. We must make them stop.
The Humane Society of the United States recently revealed that Strawberrybased retailer, has been selling real fur vests mislabeled as "faux fur" and unlabeled sweaters trimmed with raccoon dog fur.
The HSUS tell to strawberry to drop the fur clothe but strawberry didn't do anything about this problem. Because of this maybe they will get jail time. Most of the animals furs comes from chinnease farms and these peolple are not aware of what this can cause. This inhumanity is what makes me think that evryday we are worst persons. Some of the animals are even skinned alive. These animals also have feelings and people think that doing this things they will get more money and they will be more happy , but if i were them i would be happier if animals could live.

Strawberry a store is known in New York because of its cheap prices mislabeled real fur clothes and labeled them as faux fur. But cheap not always means fake there is cheap fur in the U.S.A.
Strawberry was demanded to take out all the mislabeled clothes but the store didn’t do anything so they may go to jail for a time. But they weren’t demanded because of the mislabel but because in China that is where they get the cloth the animals suffer the rabbits are anally electrocuted and dogs are skinned alive.
Also the HUHS’s Patrick Kwan explains: Low quality animal fur may be cheaper than high quality fake fur. Animals should not pay the price of cheap fur.

Strawberry Clothing Stores Caught Selling Mislabeled Fur.
    by Annie Hartnett • March 14, 2011

Strawberry is a company located on New york which has been blamed for selling real fur as "faux fur". The company uses rabbit and raccoon fur. The HSUS warned the company to stop lying to the store's consumers, who believed were buying faux fur. Strawberry hasn't changed anything in their policy and this can led them to pay for fines, and in the worst case scenario, jail time for fraud. The fur garments were sold for very low prices, making the customers believe they were buying fake fur. The low prices are set by the low quality fur they were selling, which can be in cases, cheaper than high quality fake fur. The fur came from Chinese farms where the rabbit and raccoons were exterminated by torturing them; the rabbit were electrocuted and the raccoons were skinned alive. Animals are not responsible for cheaper fashions and shouldn't be killed for these reasons.

    "Infuring" the truth.

As we all know strawberry has been using a strategy to sell real animal fur, this is completely cruel and mercyless, they kill inocent animals just for their fur... Cmon!! Animals breathe, animals eat, animals feel and so do humans. If we kill animals just because of the fashion then what is next, blowing up the moon because it will be a colorfull explosion!!! NO, what we need to do its think how killing animals affect mankind, animals depend on us and we depend on them but if we continue performing this kind of actions then what can we expect in the future...
